The chicka-dee-dee-dee call is beautiful to hear outdoors, but it's more than just a song. It warns other birds about nearby predators — and the more “dees” in the call, the greater the threat.

This card is from a painting I did a couple of years ago where I experimented with blending images from the cup design into the background. This birdie seems to be saying “I know you're there.”
